Move-out cleans that get the property ready to hand over

The clean between one tenant leaving and the next arriving — or between a tenancy and a listing. Empty, thorough, and photographed if you need proof.

An empty property hides nothing

Move-out cleaning is not a deep clean with the furniture still in it. The place is bare, which makes the job faster in some ways and much less forgiving in others: every mark the sofa was covering, every scuff behind the bed and every ring inside a cupboard is now the first thing anyone sees.

That is the standard we clean to, because the next thing that happens to the property is usually a walk-through, a photographer or a deposit conversation.

  • Every room floor to ceiling — walls spot-cleaned, baseboards, door frames, switches
  • Inside every cupboard, drawer, wardrobe and closet
  • Appliances in and out: oven, fridge, freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer
  • Bathrooms fully sanitised, hard-water buildup and grout addressed
  • Windows inside, sills, tracks and blinds
  • Carpets vacuumed throughout; deep carpet cleaning if the lease or the listing calls for it
  • Rubbish and anything left behind removed

Move-Out Deep Clean

A full property clean at the end of a tenancy, ready for photos and new bookings.

Who books these

Same clean, three different reasons for it.

Landlords and property managers

Between tenancies, when the turnaround has to be quick and the property has to survive a check-out inspection.

Owners moving out

End of your own tenancy, when the deposit depends on how the place looks on the day you hand back the keys.

Before listing or selling

An empty property photographs badly if it is not spotless. This is the clean that happens before the photographer arrives.

Turning a house into a rental

A move-out clean is also the right first step when a property is about to become a short-term rental. It gets the place to a known baseline, which is exactly what our turnover cleaning is designed to maintain from that point on. Owners in Ocean Shores and Seabrook often book the two together — one clean to reset it, then a standing turnover schedule once the bookings start.

Move-Out Cleaning questions

What is the difference between a move-out clean and a deep clean?

Scope is similar; the property is not. A deep clean happens around furniture and belongings. A move-out clean happens in an empty property, so it reaches everything the furniture was hiding — and everything it reaches is visible to whoever inspects it next.

Will this get my deposit back?

We cannot promise what a landlord or agent decides, but we clean to the standard a check-out inspection expects and we can send photos of the finished property so you have a record of the condition you left it in.

How much notice do you need?

As much as you can give us, especially over summer. Move-out dates tend to be fixed and unforgiving, so we would rather turn the job down than take it and be unable to make your date.

Do you clean carpets as part of a move-out?

Vacuuming is included. Full carpet cleaning is quoted separately, since it takes longer and needs drying time — worth booking together if your lease requires it.
